Travel insurance for parents from Canada to USA

questionDear American Visitor Insurance,

Please provide any insurance options for travel insurance for my parents (to come to the US from Canada for short trips - 2 weeks to a month). My dad is 85 and mum is 76. We're concerned about them traveling without insurance and wondered if any options exist given their age.

Thanks,
John

questionDear John,

Thanks for contacting us with your inquiry for US travel insurance for your parents from Canada visiting USA!. For people above the age of 80, most of the comprehensive plans give a reduced policy maximum of around $20,000. However, there are 2 comprehensive plans that can be considered for your parent with above 80 years of age.

1. Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan from Trawick International:
This plan provides a policy maximum of $50,000 and provides $35,000 for acute onset of pre-existing conditions and a $15,000 maximum for cardiac related conditions. Here you can find all the details on this plan:

2. INF Elite Network from INF:
This plan is a very good plan to cover pre existing conditions if any. The benefits do not change for the age range of 70 -99. SO both of your parents can buy this plan. The Elite plan has a fixed pre-existing condition maximum limit up to which the pre-existing condition would be covered. They can buy one plan for both of them.

This plan provides a policy maximum of $75,000. This plan provides full pre existing condition coverage including doctor appointments, special care. A minimum purchase of 3 months is required for this plan.

Here you can find all the details of this plan:

For both your parents, here is one plan from IMG that is comprehensive and provides a higher policy maximum but does not provide sufficient coverage for pre existing conditions. Patriot Platinum:

You can get more information about travel insurance options for older travelers, as well as compare pre-existing condition visitor insurance plans for information about other plans.

Insurance options for elderly travelers

questionHi,

My parents who are 90 and 84 years are visiting me in the US. I am having a difficult time finding any plans using your quote comparison facility. Please help.

Thank you,
Anne

questionear Anne,

Thank you for visiting American Visitor Insurance for your family travel insurance needs. Given your parents age, there are limited insurance options, and you need to choose a low medical maximum to find the options for your elderly parents. The reason is that with older travelers, the maximums of policies that are available go down.

So, the first thing you must do is look up results for each person separately. If you don’t then the younger traveler ends up with the same limitations as the older one.For people above 80 and 90, the best option currently is provided by the company INF.

INF Elite network short term plan is a comprehensive plan and INF Premier short term plan is a fixed plan that provides full pre existing condition coverage up to age 99. The Elite plan has a fixed pre-existing condition maximum limit up to which the pre-existing condition would be covered.
INF Elite Network:

INF Premier short term: The Premier plan has a fixed pre-existing condition maximum limit up to which the pre-existing condition would be covered.

For the 90 yr old visitor, the highest maximum you can get is only $20,000 from the Patriot Platinum plan. It will cost about $559 with a $250 deductible for the dates of the trip. You can choose a higher deductible to reduce your premium cost. Here are the details of the Patriot Platinum plan from IMG:

For your 84 yr old traveler you can purchase up to $50,000 maximum. The best option is a comprehensive plan called Safe Travels USA Comprehensive. It will cost about $375 with a $250 deductible. Here are the details of the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive.

Inbound USA plan from Seven Corners:
Inbound USA Basic plan: This plan provides a highest policy maximum of $100,000 for people above 70 up to the age of 99. The plan covers acute onset of pre existing condition up to the age of 79 up to $25,000.

Inbound USA Choice plan: This plan provides a highest policy maximum of $100,000 for people above 70 up to the age of 99. This plan similar to the Basic plan covers acute onset of pre existing condition up to the age of 79 up to $25,000.

I hope this breakdown helps you decide on the best option for your visitors. You can make your purchase online or give us a call if you run into any issues or have additional questions.
Wishing you and yours safe and happy travels,

Visitor Health Insurance for parents

questionHello,

I am interested to buy the visitor insurance for my parents but I have a few questions.
What are the restricted plans in the state of New York?
What plans pay the bill directly to the provider?
Which PPO network is good? United Health Care or First Health network?
If you can answer them that will be great!

Thank you!
Harish

questionDear Harish,

Thank you for contacting us for your Older traveler US health insurance needs!
Following our conversation, I spoke to International Medical Group (IMG) insurance company regarding their plans(including Patriot plans).
Their plans do not have state restriction for the state of New York.

As I already mentioned, the Atlas plan specifies in the brochure that they do direct billing with the provider if you go to a facility within the PPO network. IMG also said that they have contract with some providers in their network where they do direct billing with them. So, you need to check that with the provider during your claim.

Regarding the First Health and the United Healthcare network, both are large networks across the country. There is not much specifically that we can differentiate about them.

Here are the details on the Patriot America Plus plan from IMG:

Medical insurance for parents visiting US

questionHi,

I am planning to buy medical insurance for my parents visiting in US. Is there a combined plan or I have to buy for each individual?

Thank you!
Prathmesh

questionDear Prathmesh,

You can put married couples together on a policy although each has their own deductible and maximum. However, you can also purchase separately if, for example, one person has a pre-existing medical condition and the other doesn't OR if they are from different age groups (70 year old has more limitations on their plan than a 60 yr old, so you should buy separately).

Senior citizen visiting Canada

questionHi,

I am helping a friend find travel health care insurance. He is wanting to visit Canada for approximately 6 months, which is his allotted time here. He is 75 in May, He is on the usual old age blood pressure pills, asthma meds. Also meds for Alzheimer's disease. In Febuary he was hospitalized for his asthma, which had turned into bronchitis.

I would think he would not need insurance coverage for the asthma as we are not that far from a US hospital. You consider that a preexisting condition? Can you give me a quote for this & any other particulars he should know. If accepted does he pay in US currency?

Coverage for travelers above 70 years

questionHi,

What happens after 70 years of age. And the quotes are in US dollars?

Noah

questionDear Noah,

All quotes on our website are in US dollars. I'm not sure which plan you are looking at. At 70 years of age, most plans only offer $50,000 maximum coverage which is reduced further at 80 yrs of age. Also, for some plans, the "acute onset of pre-existing condition" coverage is no longer valid once a person is 70 years old.

One little trick is that if you purchase a plan while you are 69, you get to pay the 69 rate for the whole time (even if you hit your birthday); but the "acute onset" benefit does go away on your birthday.
However, next time you purchase it, the price and maximum options will reflect a new price and limitations.
If you have more specific questions I was not able to decipher, please email us back.

questionDear Hamid,

Thanks for contacting American Visitor Insurance with your inquiry!
Here are the comprehensive and the fixed plans that provide the highest maximum coverage for people above 80 years of age.
To know the difference between fixed benefits and comprehensive plans, please refer to Fixed vs Comprehensive.

We usually recommend comprehensive plans over the fixed option, but for this age group the cost and low maximums do not seem to justify the very high price. All the policies below require a US address which can be a hotel where you are staying during your trip or a relative's home.

Also note that with a fixed benefit plan, the higher the maximum of the plan, the higher the amount that will be paid for each medical expense, so it is worthwhile to consider the higher options since they are still a tremendous savings over the comprehensive plans.

  • INF Elite Network:

This plan provides a policy maximum of $75,000 for the age range of 70 to 99. This plan provides coverage for full pre existing conditions. The Elite plan has a fixed pre-existing condition maximum limit up to which the pre-existing condition would be covered. This is a comprehensive plan. Here are the details:

  • Inbound USA Basic:

This plan provides a max of $75000 coverage for your visitor above 80. This is a fixed plan and provides coverage for acute onset of pre existing conditions.

Our comparison tool below will show you available options for seniors 80+:

When you are ready, you can use the links above to make your purchase. You will only need the insureds full name, date of birth and a passport number. The coverage is guaranteed and you can make it effective as early as the following day.

Once you make your purchase, you will get a policy or certificate number. To see more options for the 80+ visitor, use our special website here. You can click on "Fixed Plans" or "Comprehensive Plans" to compare what the prices and coverage available:

questionDear Lilian,

Here are some options for visitors above the age of 70.
INF Elite Network:
This is a comprehensive plan from INF and provides the full pre-existing condition for people above 70. This provides the policy maximum of $75,000 for people in the age range of 70 to 99. The Elite plan has a fixed pre-existing condition maximum limit up to which the pre-existing condition would be covered.
Here are the plan details:

Inbound USA Basic:
This is a fixed plan from Seven Corners and provides a good policy maximum for people above 70. This plan also covers acute onset of pre-existing conditions.

Safe Travels USA Comprehensive:
This is a comprehensive plan from Trawick International that provides a policy maximum of $50,000.

The Visitors care policy by IMG
is affordable and makes it a popular choice short term medical insurance for visitors to USAThis is a fixed benefits policy which has a set amount that it will pay for each medical expense (see brochure for details). The higher the maximum, the higher the amount paid, so I recommend getting the $100,000 maximum.

It also has a heart care rider which will pay up to $2,500 in the event of a heart attack or stroke. The price with the rider is $142 and without is $110 for the $100k maximum with a $100 deductible. The price for the policy with a $50,000 maximum with the rider is $60 or $46 without the rider with a $50,000 maximum.

Query Regarding Deductible $250 per period, from China visiting USA for 6 months

questionHello,

I am very interested in your webpages' several plans for my mother, 74 years old, this summer traveling from China to US for 6 month's visit . Could you answering my following questions:

1. This plan has a "deductible $250 per period", what's this meaning?
a) does this imply that I need to pay the first $250 each period ( monthly or 6 months??) for sickness, and then the coinsurance pays 90% of the left amount up to the first $5,000?

b) Who pays the 90% of the first $5,000? ( The plan or me?)

c) after the $5000, then plan pays 100% up to policy max $50,000. Does this include all the medical cost (Doctor visit, medical treatment, hospital, and drugs...)

questionDear Amjad,

hanks for contacting us with your needs!
a) Deductible $250 per policy period: This means that for the entire policy period, you pay the amount of $250 only once regardless of the number of times you get sickness/injuries during the policy period. In your case, if you purchase insurance for 6 months, you pay this amount only the first time you incur an expense for the entire 6 months irrespective of how many times you incur expense.

b) For the coinsurance, when you incur an expense, for the first $5000 of the expense incurred, the 90% of the incurred expense is paid by the plan after deducting the deductible amount. The rest needs to be paid by you the customer.

c) Once, the incurred expense goes beyond $5000, the plan pays 100% up to $50,000. We highly recommend viewing the brochure of the policy that has the details.

Clarification Regarding Pay $55 for each doctor visit, $250 drug expenses and claims

questionHi,

Rx. Drugs $250 per period.
a) Does this mean the plan cover $250 drug expenses for each period and the plan pay pack the customary expenses of $55 for each doctor visit?

b) how to claim back the customary expenses if the amount excesses the "deductible amount" ? since my mother does not have a bank account in US, so you will pay to my account?

c) How to claim back some customary medical expenses? by calling your 7/24 claim department (operator) or by mailing the bill or swiping your (health)card issued my mother?

d) Does "Patriot American" have such coverage?

questionDear Li Rong,

T2. Some plans (say WorldTrips/ Visitor Care) cover reasonable cost, they pay $ 55 for each doctor visit and Rx. Drugs $250 per period.
a) Yes. This means that the plan will cover up to $250 for prescription drugs for the policy period. Yes, also that the $55 for doctor visit is for each doctor visit. Again we recommend to see the brochure of the policy for the number of doctor visits allowed per policy period.
b) You can fill the claim forms that is available on our website for specific Insurance companies and attach the invoices and statements and can receive the money. For precertification, which is usually needed in case of hospitalization, surgery etc. you can call the toll free number of the company given in the ID Card. These details are also available in the brochure of the policy.
c) The answer for this is same as b mentioned above.
d) Patriot America is a good plan from IMG and has all of the coverage.

Difference between Visitors Care and Inbound USA for Deductible and Pay to each doctor visit

question

Comparing to "Visitors Care" and "Inbound USA", where two plan pay 100% of covered amount after the deductible $250 and pay $55 each doctor visit.
a) What's the meaning?

b) are these two above plans "Fixed Benefits" or "Comprehensive", since the web page only shows "Fixed vs Comprehensive plans"

c) Are these two plan better than Patriot America? In Patriot America, there the plan does not pay $55 for doctor visit, and does not cover 100% of covered amount, even should be after the first $5,000

d) do you recommend me to buy "Visitor Care" or "Inbound America", or other plans.

questionDear Li Rong,

a)Visitor's Care and Inbound USA do not have a co-insurance amount associated with them like Patriot America. This is because they are both scheduled or fixed benefit plans Therefore it says that the plan covers 100% after meeting the deductible amount. But this does not mean that they are better than Patriot America. We recommend Patriot America over these two policies.

Inbound USA

b) Visitor's Care and Inbound USA are fixed or scheduled benefit policies. Patriot America is an excellent comprehensive policy.

c) Patriot America is better than the other 2 fixed benefit policies. In fixed policy the coverage amount is defined and limited. For instance, if you incur an expense of $10,000 and the fixed policy limit has been set to $5000, the policy provides only the specified $5000. The fixed benefit policy does not flexibly adjust the coverage amount depending on the incurred expense.

Fixed benefit policy works fine when you incur small expenses. Comprehensive policies on the other hand provide flexible coverage up to policy max limit and is always a good option for larger expenses even though they might not cover doctor's visits. And also, most comprehensive plans have some coverage for pre existing condition.

Patriot America :

d) If you want a cheaper plan and need limited coverage you can choose a fixed policy, otherwise we always recommend comprehensive plans.

Atlas America
is also another excellent Comprehensive plan.

Raffaela

questionDear Raffaela,

You do have a few visitors insurance for older travelers above 80 years. There are few comprehensive plans that can provide a high policy maximum for people above 80 years of age.

The fixed benefits plans provide higher policy maximum option for people above the age of 80. We usually recommend comprehensive plans over the fixed benefits coverage option, but for this age group the cost and low maximums do not seem to justify the very high price.

For your visitor who is above 80, this is the plan that provides a $100,000 max coverage. you can get the information regarding to the plan

Buying visitors insurance for parents

questionHello,

I am comparing Atlas America, Atlas Premium America and Patriot Platinum America. Looking for $100,000 policy.
Question: Can you suggest is 100K policy too much or too less for 73 and 75 years of parents? What are the key difference between these three policies?
I am okay to pay max $250 deductible, if it is worth saving those few $$.
Parents' are intended to stay 6 months (175 days) but not 100% sure. What is the downside of buying 1 month policy and keep extending 1 month in a chunk? V/s buying 6 months and cancelling it, if required?

Regards,
Rajesh Chug

questionDear Rajesh,

Thank you for your email. I sent you the details for three different plans for your comparison. They are all comprehensive plans with a policy max of $100,000 and $250 deductible. These are from three deterrent insurance companies. Both Atlas America and Diplomat Long Term do not cover pre-existing condition. While Patriot Platinum covers pre-existing condition up to $2,500.

One of the advantages for Atlas America is the co-insurance. As long as they go within the PPO network co-insurance will be waived. Diplomat and Platinum have a co insurance of 20% and 10% of the first $50,000 respectively.

These plans are renewable. Please refer to the brochures of the plans for renewal requirements. There may be a small renewal fee when you renew the plan each time. So, it is better to buy the plan for the required entire time period.
And as far as the policy maximum is concern, I would say $100,000 for 6 months is more that enough.
If you wish to search for plans at a $50,000 level, you may use this link:

Visitor insurance policy for 89 yr old visitor from Israel

questionHello,

I am looking for maximum coverage for my mother (89 years old, perfect health record proven with medical reports), an Israeli citizen living in Israel and she will visit me from 5/4-7/12/16. It looks that the maximum coverage is $75,000 with INBOUND IMMIGRANT.

My wish will be to get a higher coverage, can you suggests anything? Also about purchasing 2 different policies I was thinking that if I have a primary one and a secondary one which let's the max coverage for the first is $75,000 and the second is $50,000 then hypothetically if I have an incident for which the cost can add up to more than $75,000 I can kick the secondary one to complete the rest of the amount. Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Hedy Iancu

questonDear Hedy Iancu ,

Thank you for contacting us for your US visitor travel health insurance needs for traveler of 89 years from Israel !
I've been reading up on this issue of two policies. Of course, you cannot do more than one policy with a company, but if you have policies from two different companies, they should dove-tail together. They will fight about who is "primary", etc. because they will both say that they are secondary (but she will have no other insurance, so...).

Since the policies are fixed ones, it will not work as simply as you suggest in your email ($75,000 max and a $50,000 max). However, if one covers $3,350 for a surgery, and the other $2,000, then together, you WILL get $5,350 for that surgery. So, in that sense I think it will work as you suggest.

Just be sure that are from different companies (we offer several policies which are slightly different from the same company (Inbound Immigrant and Inbound USA)).
Here is one plan that you can try that gives more coverage than $75,000 as maximum coverage.

Inbound USA Basic:
This plan covers up to age 99 and provides policy maximum of $100,000 and covers acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to the age of 99. Here are the details:

Again, good luck to you and we hope your visitor has a safe and healthy stay!

Does Travel Insurance go up at age 70?

All travel health insurance policies are priced by age and the number of days needed, so your age does determine your cost. The price difference between 69 and 70 IS a big jump. If you are traveling at age 69 and will turn 70 during your trip you get to pay the whole time like a 69 yr old (a real bargain).

However, some coverages which end at age 70 (like some pre-existing medical condition coverage) will end on your birthday. At American Visitor Insurance, we offer many policies for people 70+ and are adding policies all the time to improve our offering to our traveling seniors!

What is the cutoff age for travel insurance for senior citizens?

It depends on the company and the type of policy you are looking for. Many policies do not have a cut off age, but some do. Also, the main difference for older travelers is that the maximum of the policy available goes down with higher age.

You may only find options in the $50,000 maximum or less, but you may still find something suitable for your situation.

What is visitors insurance for pre-existing conditions?

There are several visitors insurance plans available for international travel. However, many travel insurance and visitors insurance plans exclude pre-existing conditions. This means that a travel insurance plan will not cover the costs of treating a pre-existing medical condition. Therefore, the insurance company may deny a claim if the ailment already existed when the travel insurance was purchased. However, there are some travel medical insurance plans that offer coverage for pre-existing conditions and the policy clearly defines a look-back period and what is covered for pre-existing conditions, as well as specifying a limit to this coverage.

Some travel health insurance plans like Atlas America, Patriot America Plus offer coverage for the acute onset of a pre-existing conditions, ie, when there is a sudden medical emergency without any prior symptom that needs to be treated immediately. The coverage typically includes emergency medical treatment, hospitalization, and evacuation expenses related to the acute onset of the pre-existing condition. INF insurance however has the INF Elite insurance plans which cover pre-existing conditions going beyond the acute onset coverage. It is important to compare visitors insurance for pre-existing conditions both for the price as well as the specific details for pre-existing conditions coverage as well as review the policy brochures for exclusions and coverage limits before making a decision.

How does travel insurance for pre-existing conditions work?

The travel health insurance plans which cover pre-existing conditions have clear definitions of what is a pre-existing condition, the look back period for pre-existing condition, whether the travel insurance coverage is limited to acute onset of pre-existing conditions, and if it provides full coverage for pre-existing conditions the coverage limit within the policy for pre-existing conditons. Any travel health insurance coverage for pre-existing conditions will depend on all these.

Factors to consider while purchasing visitors health insurance for pre existing conditions?

The following are important factors for buying travel insurance for pre-existing conditions

  1. The definition of pre-existing conditions and the look back period under the policy.
  2. The eligibility age limit for pre-existing conditions coverage.
  3. Whether pre-existing condition coverage is limited to acute onset of pre-existing conditions.
  4. The coverage limit for pre-existing conditions which is different from the policy medical maximum.
  5. The deductible and out of pocket expenses for pre-existing conditions coverage.

Why is travel health insurance for pre-existing conditions coverage important?

There are many international travelers who have medical ailments and it is important for them to be well informed about visitors insurance for pre-existing conditions. Many of the regular travel insurance plans exclude any coverage for pre-existing conditions. The definition of pre-existing conditions varies for different insurance providers as they have a ‘look back’ period and any medical ailments during this look back period would be considered pre-existing. At American Visitor Insurance, we offer plans which do offer coverage for acute onset of a pre-existing condition, as well as full coverage for pre-existing conditions up to a clearly defined limit in the policy document. All of these details can be better understood by using our facility for comparing visitors insurance for pre-existing conditions.

Pre-existing conditions coverage - FAQ's

01. How do I know if my pre-existing condition is covered by travel insurance?

Unfortunately, this simple question has a fairly complicated answer. The answer is: it depends. Firstly, it depends on whether you are a US resident traveling outside the US or a visitor to the US. US residents can purchase trip cancellation insurance that can cover pre-existing conditions and even plans that are travel medical only without cancellation often are more generous in their coverage of pre-existing conditions. These plans may have specific requirements in order to waive the usual exclusion of coverage for pre-existing conditions (like purchase them within a certain number of days of your initial trip deposit or that you have a primary domestic insurance plan in the US), so you should check these details carefully if this is important to you.

Non-US residents or US residents traveling into the US have much more limited options to insure their pre-existing conditions are covered. Some plans offer coverage for "acute onset" of pre-existing conditions. However, this is misleading, since a careful look at their definition excludes chronic or congenital disorders from such coverage. Chronic illnesses are those that worsen over time and congenital disorders are issues one is born with. They exclude emergencies due to chronic illness because they will say that is not "acute" it is simply a worsening of your condition. There are only two policies we know of that offer coverage for pre-existing medical conditions. They are INF Premier and INF Elite plans.

Firstly, they define pre-existing conditions in the following way: A pre-existing condition is a condition for which the insured received treatment or took medication for in the previous 12 months before the start of the policy. If the medication dosage has not changed and is taken as a maintenance medication, this would NOT count as a flare up or treatment of the condition. In that case, very stable conditions that have no flare ups in the past 12 months are not even excluded as pre-existing conditions. Conditions that have had flare ups or doctor recommended treatment or change in medication, are still covered by the plans but with a higher deductible and a lower maximum.

INF Elite (also INF Elite 90) are comprehensive plans offering fairly complete coverage. INF Premier is a fixed plan. Find details on these plans here.

The above plans must be purchased for at least 90 days and can be quite pricey for seniors, but they offer the only real coverage for chronic conditions.

The other option, of course, is to take a plans with little ($1K) or no coverage for pre-existing conditions and take a risk that that condition will not flare up during the trip.

02. What does full coverage for Pre-Existing Conditions mean?

INF plans boast they offer "full" coverage for pre-existing conditions. This can be a little misleading. Firstly, any regular treatment or medication that is required by the condition is never covered. The main advantage to the INF Elite and INF Premier is that they cover sudden illness/injury regardless of whether it is pre-existing or not. The only difference is that a pre-existing condition will be covered with a higher deductible at at a lower maximum than any other "new" illness or injury. However, coverage is not limited to an emergency or life-threatening situation.

03. What does "acute onset of pre-existing conditions" mean?

The "Acute Onset of a Pre-Existing Condition" is a sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a pre-existing medical condition which occurs without any advance warning either in the form of physician recommendations or symptoms and requires immediate care (within 24 hours of first symptoms). A Pre-Existing Condition that is a chronic or congenital condition or that gradually becomes worse over time will not be considered acute onset.

The acute onset coverage benefit does not include coverage for known, scheduled, required, or expected medical care, drugs or treatment existent or necessary prior to the effective date of coverage. An example of this might be someone who has a food allergy or bee allergy and is unknowingly exposed to their allergen and requires immediate medical attention.

04. What is the difference between Full Pre-Existing & Acute Onset Insurance?

Acute onset of a pre-existing condition can be defined as the sudden & unexpected occurrence of a pre-existing condition which requires in-patient, emergency hospitalization within 24 hours of exhibiting first symptoms. The main difference between acute onset & full pre-existing is that with Full Pre-Existing coverage, is that one is covered for all pre-existing conditions and associated medical costs and this includes follow up visits, hospitalizations and doctor’s visits, etc. The acute onset coverage will only cover the in-patient hospitalization expense.

05. What are the limits of Full Pre-Existing plans under INF travel insurance?

Full Pre-existing means we will cover any issue regarding a pre-existing condition, however, if one is traveling to the United States solely for medical treatment, that will not be covered. INF plans do not cover any medical tourism related claims. Pre-existing conditions under the INF plans are covered with a higher deductible and a lower maximum than other illnesses or injuries. These are chosen or specified when you purchase you plan.

06. Do INF travel insurance plans really cover all pre-existing conditions?

Yes, the INF policies will cover any pre-existing issue that the traveler may have during their stay in the United States. This includes blood pressure, diabetes, kidney related issues and arthritis, all of which are covered by the INF Premier, INF Premier Plus, INF Elite, INF Elite Plus and INF Elite 90, Hop Travel Assist, Hop Mindoro Assist, Hop WorldHopper, Hop Trip Assist Plus Plans.

07. Why are Full Pre-Existing plans more expensive than other visitors insurance plans?

The insurance company takes on an enormous risk by insuring individuals and including coverage for pre-existing conditions without any prior medical examination. Under the INF plans, you are paying more, but you are getting the full value for the money you pay given the very high cost of US healthcare. With the INF Premier, INF Premier Plus, INF Elite, INF Elite Plus and INF Elite 90, Hop Travel Assist, Hop Mindoro Assist, Hop WorldHopper, Hop Trip Assist Plus Plans, even though it is expensive, you can have the comfort of knowing that you are covered for any emergency or contingency. This peace of mind given the expensive US healthcare expense is what makes INF plans worth it despite being expensive.

08. What services are covered under visitors insurance full pre-existing coverage?

The list of covered services under Visitors insurance full pre-existing conditions coverage can be found on the American Visitor Insurance website of the INF Premier, INF Premier Plus, INF Elite, INF Elite Plus and INF Elite 90, Hop Travel Assist, Hop Mindoro Assist, Hop WorldHopper, Hop Trip Assist Plus Plan pages.
