Travel health insurance for the Schengen Visa

We get thousands of customers each year asking about health insurance to satisfy Schengen visa requirements. The Schengen visa allows travelers to travel between and among various European countries and kingdoms. It has made travel within Europe easier since each country does not require their own visa (with their own requirements).

However, one of the requirements for issuing this Schengen visa is to have appropriate travel health insurance during ones stay in Europe. The really good news is that this insurance is very economical and easy to purchase.

The choices vary slightly by age and length of stay. The Schengen visa letters for these four companies take no longer than 30 minutes to download and print out. Even though you print out your own copy of the letter, it is still considered an official document.

Seven Corners makes it very easy to get the visa letter. Immediately after your purchase, you will get a confirmation email and linked within that email is a hotlink to the Visa Letter which you can click on and print out for yourself. With WorldTrips, you also get a confirmation email with an attached PDF document. Within that PDF document, there are instructions to go to their "WorldTrips Client Zone" in order to print out the visa letter.

A nice thing about this company is that you also can print out the letter in Spanish if it is needed (I hear the Spanish consulate can be very picky). Finally, the Patriot plans also have a hotlink in the confirmation email which will take you to IMG client zone automatically and you can email or print out your visa letter, ID cards, etc there. For Trawick International a visa letter is provided at the time of enrollment which can be used to obtain a Schengen Visa.

For residents of Maryland, the only plans which can be used are the Trawick International Insurance Plans. You do not have to insure the value of your trip (you can choose $0). This company does not immediately produce a visa letter. You will need to contact us so we can request it, so it will take at least one business day to get this emailed to you.
