These conditions are pre-existing conditions and the waiting period for this in student insurance plans vary between 6 months to a year. It depends on the insurance plan. Each plan is different and has different waiting periods or no waiting periods.

03. What are the benefits covered with pre -existing conditions?

The Standard plan excludes charges for pre-existing conditions until after 12 months of continuous coverage. The Platinum plan excludes charges for pre-existing conditions until after 6 months of continuous coverage. This means that if you have a pre-existing condition, you will have to wait for 12 or 6 months (depending on your plan level) before the plan will pay for any medical expenses related to your condition.
